Piercing through the menacing sky, Like a gun shot by its trigger. It fills us with a precarious gloom, A death, a heavy situation that looms. It weaves a thread, looms a death, It brings a danger, life endangers. The presence of the Reaper sucks out life, And He would have no need of his scythe to plunge out life. Here is death before our very eyes, War saw, war saw, it cries out. Cruelty, menace, evil in its eyes, The cold of death visible on its grounds. We lived and died, didn't remain alive, We went and wandered but weren't found. How did it all get to this? How did death catch up with our deeds? How have we beheld but haven't seen? How have we not awoken in our sleep? We ran and ran, followed pride, Satisfying our lusts, we took lives. We killed ourselves for undefined glories, A peace of mind only found in stories. Ideas were our gain but also our loss, We knew the truth or so we thought. Yet as the cold hands of death placed a grip on us, ...
